When Deb Turner talks about Inner View Health Solutions, it’s clear this business is more than a job—it’s a personal mission. Her journey started years ago after struggling with multiple misdiagnoses before finally learning she had Crohn’s disease. The medication she was prescribed came with harsh side effects, and Deb realized she wasn’t getting the help she needed. That experience sparked a decision that changed everything: she went back to school to become a nutritional practitioner, specializing in childhood nutrition pre/post natal, and trained in Bio-Resonance therapy, later adding aromatherapy to her expertise.
Five years ago, Deb launched Inner View Health Solutions with one goal in mind—to take back control of her health and help others do the same. Today, her work focuses on whole-body wellness through services such as Bio-Resonance scans, which use the body's energy to identify imbalances, and Red Light Therapy, which rejuvenates cells with targeted light frequencies. She also offers nutrition guidance and hosts workshops on a variety of health topics. What sets Inner View apart is Deb's holistic approach and her commitment to staying current with technology and research, ensuring her clients receive the most advanced care possible.
Choosing Boissevain as the home for Inner View was an easy decision. Deb and her husband, Darrell, have deep roots here—Darrell was born and raised in town, and Deb moved from Ontario as a teenager. They raised their family in Boissevain, and today their three daughters run businesses across Manitoba. At the same time, Deb enjoys time with her seven grandchildren. "It's home," she says. "It's a great place to raise a family and build a business."
Community support has played an essential role in Inner View's growth, even though promotion has relied primarily on word of mouth. Social media has been a challenge, but Deb is working to improve her online presence and reach more people in the local area. She participates in community events like the Parade of Lights when she can and makes a point of shopping local and supporting other businesses.
Like many small business owners, Deb faces challenges such as hiring skilled staff and making sure people understand what she offers. But she sees plenty of opportunity ahead. Her dream is to expand into a full-time wellness centre right here in Boissevain, offering more services and workshops. She’s also open to collaborating with other local businesses and professionals to make that vision a reality.
For now, Inner View is a small operation with Deb and one part-time employee, but the growth potential is clear. A larger wellness centre could create new jobs and attract visitors to Boissevain, strengthening the local economy.
When asked about her future goals, Deb smiles and says, "Onward and upward." She wants to keep building her business, open that wellness centre, and continue helping people take control of their health. Partnerships with like-minded professionals could help make that dream come true.
Her advice for anyone thinking about starting a business in Boissevain is simple: “Enjoy the small-town vibe. Here, you’re not a number—you’re a neighbour.” And what does she love most about being a business owner here? “My husband Darrell, the hometown feeling, and the safety. It’s a great place to raise a family and build a life.”
Inner View Health Solutions is more than a business—it’s a story of resilience, passion, and community. And it’s helping Boissevain residents live healthier, happier lives.
